The 2024 sale is scheduled for March 30, 2024 in College Station. Robinett Auction Services and the TAMU Beef Center have been scheduled, and several ideas were discussed at the July meeting for improving publicity and reducing sale expense. Mark your calendars and start making plans to attend, consign and bid on some quality cattle.

We would like to solicit your entries for a Catalog Cover Photo Contest. We will devise a selection process and award a yet-to-be-determined prize to the winning entry, whose photo will be used on the 2024 catalog cover. The other entries will be used to help dress up our Facebook advertising. Please submit photos you don’t mind being used in this way by email to Linda, Steve or Amy.

We discussed improving our self-promotion. Be sure to mention the sale to your friends and your buyers. Consider asking your feed store, vet, or livestock equipment supplier if they’d purchase a corporate ad in the catalog. It’s distributed electronically as well as in print to a wide audience, and it’s a good way to reduce consignors' expense of producing the catalog. Ask Steve for a copy of the 2023 catalog for their review.

A meeting was held July 15, 2023 at the Koffee Kup restaurant in Hico. Minutes are available below.

The current officers were re-elected to another one-year term (the current directors were elected to two-year terms in 2022).

The 2023 sale honoree was Joshua Smith, the late grandson of longtime member Donlie McMullin, and the association announced our intent to award the 2023 scholarship in Josh’s memory. We hope it honors this family even more that we elected to award the scholarship to Josh’s twin brother, Matthew Smith. Matthew is a student at Liberty University School of Law, and we are proud to present him a $1000 CTPHA scholarship in his brother’s memory. Congratulations Matthew, and good luck in the coming semester!
